“At a certain point in your life, you realize you know more dead people than living.” These are the words of Francesco Dellamorte. His job is to supervise the local cemetery, wait for the dead to rise from their graves, shoot them in the head, and put them back. Directed by Michele Soavi, Dellamorte Dellamore is a darkly hilarious existential zombie flick that mixes its humor and gore with metaphysical questions about mortality. Rather than being exhaustive or pretentious, it’s absolutely unique and thrilling. There should be some kind of cult for this flick. One of my favs.
